Eligibility

To qualify for Pro ECN, your trading activity must meet one of the following criteria within any consecutive 30-day period over the past 90 days:

At least 5 closed trades and a notional trading volume of USD 500,000 or more

or

Account balance above USD 10,000 and at least one closed trade (Balances in other currencies will be converted based on prevailing rates)

This promotion is limited to clients in select markets.
If the above conditions are not maintained, your account will be reverted to a standard Raw ECN account.
Only CPA clients (excluding Hybrid clients) and direct clients under a VT Markets sales representative are eligible for the upgrade; IBs and any clients under IBs are not eligible.

Steps to Open a PRO ECN Account

    What is the difference between a Raw ECN account and a Pro ECN account?

    The Pro ECN account offers significantly lower commission compared to the Raw ECN account:

    • Raw ECN: Standard commission of $6 per round turn
    • Pro ECN: Reduced commission starting from as low as $2 per round turn

    Pro ECN accounts also offer commission-free trading on silver and oil, along with swap-free options.

    How do I open a Pro ECN account?

    Once your trading activity meets the criteria, you will see an “Upgrade to PRO ECN” button in your Client Portal or VT Markets app.

    Simply click the button to apply. Your account will be upgraded once verified.

    Which instruments are available for reduced commissions under the Pro ECN account?

    You can trade a wide range of instruments, including forex pairs, gold, silver, and crude oil products.

    How is the commission calculated?

    Commission rates vary based on your account’s base currency.

    The table below shows the commissions for forex and gold — there is zero commission for silver and oil:

    What happens if I stop trading actively?

    If your account does not meet the required criteria during any 30-day window over a rolling 90-day period, it will be downgraded to a standard Raw ECN account.

    However, you may reapply for an upgrade once you fulfill the eligibility requirements again.

    Is swap-free option available?

    Yes, a swap-free Pro ECN account is available for traders who prefer to hold positions overnight.

  • 7.

    Are clients under CPA affiliates or IBs eligible for this upgrade?

    Only CPA clients (excluding Hybrid clients) and direct clients under a VT Markets sales representative are eligible for the upgrade.

    IBs themselves, as well as any clients or accounts linked to an IB at any level, are not eligible for the upgrade.
